Casa Lausus is a mountain house set in the middle of Serra da Lousã.
Unaware of the princess's whereabouts, Lausus ventured deep into the mountains in search of her. Learning of this, Arunce pursued him. Their fateful encounter led to both their deaths, leaving the princess alone and forgotten in the castle. According to legend, Lausus gave his name to Lousã, while Arunce inspired the name of the river surrounding the castle (Arouce). As for the princess, it is said that on quiet nights, her sorrowful sobs can still be heard as she waits for her lost love.
It is this timeless tale that Casa Lausus honors. Nestled in the Aldeia do Xisto of Talasnal, in the heart of the Lousã Mountain, Casa Lausus is a retreat that invites guests to escape the bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in the breathtaking landscapes.
Here, you can recharge your energy, explore the many scenic trails, and breathe in the fresh, pure mountain air. On warmer days, the terrace offers the perfect setting to enjoy a meal with panoramic views of the mountains and Alto do Trevim.
