The Candal Association for Social and Community Development is a non-profit organization founded with the purpose of developing and promoting the village through social, cultural, and recreational projects.
Headquartered in the former primary school of the Aldeia do Xisto of Candal, in the municipality of Lousã, the association has played an important role in maintaining and improving the village's infrastructure.
