The parish of São Pedro do Esteval will host another edition of the River Fish Festival on July 11 and 12, celebrating the authentic products provided by local waterways.
This is an excellent opportunity for visitors to discover and taste some traditional delicacies, such as the famous river fish soups, a common dish once found in the homes of former fishermen from the Ocreza River and the Pracana Dam.
The event's headline act is José Malhoa, who will perform on Saturday night. The live cooking sessions will once again feature Nuno Sabino, Vítor, and Luís Gonçalves, who will unveil the secrets behind the traditional river fish soups.
The festival also includes performances by accordionists Diogo da Gaita and João Carvalho, the musical duo Fábio Farinha & Rosebel Rodrigues, the theatre-musical act “Cachorros Desambargonhados” by Váatão, the bands Fora d’Horas and Banda Estilus, and DJ Valelo.
