On July 16, the river beach of Açude Pinto, in Oleiros, will host an environmental awareness initiative as part of the municipality’s application to the Blue Flag program.

Integrated into the EcoPraias campaign, the initiative aims to:

• Encourage recycling;

• Teach correct waste separation practices;

• Promote the circular economy;

• Raise awareness about the preservation of river beaches and the environment.

Throughout the day, several awareness-raising activities will take place, engaging visitors by promoting the proper use of recycling bins and offering guidance on how to sort waste more effectively and sustainably.

The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Oleiros in partnership with Valnor.
