The Míscaros – Mushroom Festival will liven up the village of Alcaide, in the municipality of Fundão, from the 12th to the 16th of November.

Organized by the Liga dos Amigos do Alcaide, Fundão City Council and Alcaide Parish Council, the initiative promotes the strong fungal heritage of the country, which has more than 300 species, among which the mites stand out, and highlights the landscape heritage , cultural and environmental aspects of Alcaide and the entire Serra da Gardunha.

Over the three days, visitors will be able to enjoy the mycological tours and marvel at the surrounding nature of Gardunha, taste different ways of making mushrooms and other specialties of the region in the taverns specially prepared in the village. More informations HERE.
