The best way to discover the Aldeias do Xisto is by learning how they are built—with your own hands. Here, no two houses are alike.
On August 9, Cerdeira hosts the "Miniature Schist Houses" experience, led by Rita Pereira. Participants will uncover the patterns and principles behind these traditional constructions by building a miniature schist house.
No prior experience is required, and the activity lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. Registrations are open HERE until August 1. Children aged 6 to 11 years (inclusive) are welcome to participate.
The activity will only take place if the minimum number of participants is reached. If not, the registration fee will be fully refunded.
For a complete experience, you can stay in one of the rural tourism houses at Cerdeira – Home For Creativity, fully prepared and equipped to offer a quality stay. Each schist house in the village also served as inspiration for artists to create exclusive pieces, adding even more art and individuality to each home.
