Mostra de Artes e Sabores da Maúnça (Maunça Arts and Flavours Show)

The Maúnça Arts and Flavors Fair returns on November 9 and 10, to the village of Açor, in the municipality of Fundão. In the heart of the Maúnça mountain range, this fair of arts and flavors takes place, marking its 25th edition this year and celebrating the arrival of chestnuts. It's an event that appeals to the senses and tradition, highlighting local gastronomy, traditions, and crafts.

Maranhos, "miaus" (typical cakes), rabbit in olive oil, chanfana, and beans with cabbage make this gastronomic festival a unique event, where people gather by the warmth of fireplaces and can taste medronho brandy or freshly baked bread from the community oven.

This initiative is organised by the Municipality of Fundão and the Cultural and Recreational Association of the “Os Pastores do Açor” Folkloric Group.
