Casa da Mata de Fajão invites you to a hike to the Penedos de Fajão, exploring the Fajão Schist Trail. The meeting point is at the village of Mata, at 9:00 AM, where breakfast will be served. The departure, in Fajão, is scheduled for 9:30 AM.

Starting from the Largo da Igreja de Fajão, the hike heads towards the Penedos de Penalva, the highest point of the trail, offering stunning views of the Serra do Açor. From there, the descent begins towards Alto do Carvalhinho, where an uphill stretch takes you through quartzite blocks, passing by the Capela dos Mouros, a cave carved into the cliffside. The trail then continues downhill towards the Ceira valley, following an old cobbled path with panoramic views of the river. Finally, narrow trails surrounded by pines lead back to the village via the Largo da Igreja.

In addition to the hike, the program includes breakfast, lunch, and plenty of entertainment.
